It doesn’t seem real, does it? That we are alive on this earth right now, but it can all be over at any minute?
Ecclesiastes 7:3-4 has been speaking to my soul lately. Everything we do matters because our time here is limited. While the day we choose to believe and follow Christ is the beginning of eternity for believers, the days for those that follow themselves are numbered. There is only so much time for seeds to be planted and hearts to be changed, and for believers to grow closer to Jesus and the people that he has strategically placed in our lives for exactly this point in time.
We think we do not want to leave this earth, however it is not the room that we are to rest in. We will rest in The Light for eternity, after our time is done wrestling with our flesh. Our final resting place must be out of this world (pun intended) for us to not want to leave this dark room called earth.
